Arriving at Volendam, I welcomed by the very pleasant weather. Volendam is fisherman village with colorful houses and old boats in the port. So many things to do in this little city, you can visit to cheese store, wearing Netherland traditional costume and you can just walk on the beach. Also, you can buy some souvenirs here. Such a favorite tourism place in Netherland.
First place I visit is Cheese Factory. Hmmmmm... I've been how to made this super delicious cheese because as I know, Holland Cheese are very famous all over the world. In this cheese factory, you can see how they make cheese and buy it. Moreover, you can entering the cheese museum.
The cheese price in this factory is quite pricey, but it's still worth for this super delicious cheese. It's start from EUR 14
Finish tasting the homade cheese and knowing how to make it, I continue walk through this city looking for photo studio. Why? because I want to take picture by wearing Netherland Traditional Costume which become a prove if I've been in Volendam :)
After walk, I stop at one of photo studio and I ask how much to taking picture wearing this traditional costume and one of the staff gives me price EUR 15 for one capture.
Finish taking picture here, I walk around this little city for buy some souvenirs. Because I went here at Spring, there are so many tulips at souvenir shops..
Tired of shopping, I sit and rest in one of bench in the sea side. Well guy, there is a famous statue in Volendam which called Fisherman Statue seated in one of bench. Don't forget to take picture there :)
Hello everyone, now I'm in Netherland and visit the famous village in this country, Volendam. I start my journey from Paris by using train from Paris Gare De Lyon at 06.59 am with fare EUR 97 for 2nd class, but you can also choose the first class with fare EUR 130.
Trip to Amsterdam Central need 3,5 hours. Arriving at Amsterdam Central Station, I take bus to Volendam, the bus station is located behind the station. Then I go upstairs behind platforms 14 and 15 and choose the bus. The bus fare to Volendam is only EUR 5 and it need 45 minutes to arrive there.
For train from Paris to Amsterdam, better you buy online. Don't forget to bring camera and wear comfortable shoes whille traveling to this little city. Watch this video for seeing Volendam more..
